Quickly becoming one of the most beautiful cities east of the GTA, Whitby is a blossoming community of young families and established residents. In the last year, health and wellness have become top priorities for a lot of us, especially young mothers and working women in Durham’s fast growing township. The best way to maintain this goal is through support and motivation within an environment of like-minded of ladies…
F&M Whitby is very pleased to have Katie Bacchin as your Trainer. Here’s her deets:
How Long Have You Been Teaching Fitness? About 20 minutes... kidding... F&M was awesome enough to see potential in me and give me the opportunity to start my fitness career with them. I won't disappoint :)
What Are Your Interests? Food, fitness, music, reading
Tell Us Some Of Your Hobbies: Cooking, baking, working out (I am always looking for the newest "hardest ever" workout to try!), chasing after my very busy two and a half year old keeps me pretty active too :)
What Is Your Favourite Food? Indian or japanese
And Your Favourite Snack? Smoothies! or anything coconut... mmmmm
Favourite Exercise: High heel squats, tricep dips (killer but worth it!)
How do you like to inspire: By example. If i don't practice what I preach, I am not giving anybody the confidence to believe in my advice.
Any other helpful information? I am motivated by other people's progress. I am so looking forward to my class inspiring me just as much as I can hope to inspire them!
Favorite quotes: "Don't trade what you want the most for what you want right now". I have this taped to my treadmill and look at it every time i want to quit!,
"A setback is just an opportunity for a great comeback" and "strong is the new skinny".
What to Bring
- Workout clothes
- Appropriate running shoes
- Water bottle

- Yoga mat
- And a ‘can do’ attitude

What to eat before a class

Remember ladies, these are just a few options, but you want everything absorbed into your body before class….or it will sneak up on you, if you know what I mean! ;)
